Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join EverPower’s growing engineering team. You will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of solar PV, wind, and battery storage projects.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

– Lead electrical engineering design for solar PV, wind farm, and BESS projects.

– Design and review High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems including protection, earthing, and cable sizing.

– Support development and integration of substations and grid connection infrastructure.

– Interface with ESB Networks and relevant stakeholders to ensure grid compliance.

– Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.

– Ensure compliance with Irish grid codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.

– Support commissioning and troubleshooting of renewable energy systems.

– Assist in feasibility studies, tendering, and EPC project delivery.

Requirements Skills:

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

– Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.

– Member of Engineers Ireland (MIEI/CEng).

– Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Irish renewable energy market.

– Proven experience with:

• Solar PV systems (commercial and utility-scale).
• Wind farm electrical infrastructure.
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• HV/LV electrical design and analysis.
• Substation design and grid connections.

– Strong understanding of Irish grid standards and ESB requirements.

– Experience with electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD, PVSyst, PVcase).

– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

• Experience working within an EPC contractor environment.
• Knowledge of SCADA and control systems.
• Project management or site delivery experience.
