Job Description:

As an Agricultural Solar PV & Battery Surveyor, you will be a key contributor during the initial assessment and planning stages of solar PV and battery storage projects on agricultural sites throughout Ireland. Your responsibilities will include conducting on-site surveys, gathering critical data, and supporting system design efforts to deliver efficient, safe, and tailored renewable energy solutions for farming clients.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct site surveys on agricultural properties to evaluate suitability for solar PV and battery storage systems
• Assess roof structures, ground conditions, and spatial layouts for optimal equipment placement
• Document key site parameters including dimensions, shading, and electrical infrastructure
• Understand farm operations to identify energy use patterns and on-site generation opportunities
• Gather and analyze data on existing energy consumption
• Assist the senior surveying team with initial system designs and layouts
• Ensure full compliance with EverPower’s Health & Safety protocols, particularly farm safety standards
  
• Maintain professional, courteous communication with farm owners and operators
• Prepare detailed and accurate survey reports and maintain comprehensive site visit records

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Comfortable and confident working in farm environments; familiarity with farm machinery, livestock, and operations is highly desirable
• Basic understanding of electricity usage and generation, particularly within agricultural contexts
• Strong awareness of general farm safety practices and a commitment to working safely at all times
• Practical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and adapt to varying site conditions
• Precise and methodical in collecting and recording data
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain findings and liaise with stakeholders
• Competent in using basic measurement tools and digital surveying equipment
• Full Irish driving licence required for travel to various sites

Desirable (But Not Essential):

• Basic knowledge of solar PV or battery systems
• Previous experience in a surveying or field-based role
• Educational background in agriculture, electrical engineering, or related fields
